Getting More Work Done

Getting more work done these days because my Senior Magnet Internship is at my lab at KSU. I get to continue my work at an accelerated rate since I spend at least half of the day in the lab. Getting closer to producing the protein by designing different primers and running directed transmutations. . . .

Primer!

Got the transmutation to work in one direction. Going to use a new primer to run it the other way!

Back in the lab (Phase VII). Transmutation is going well. It may take a few tries, but it looks like the path to characterizing the protein – EGCG complex is getting shorter!

Today, I learned that I earned a First Place at the Georgia State Science Fair! (phase VII has already been underway…)

Arrival Of The Custom Plasmid!

I finally received my custom designed plasmid yesterday.

Now I can get to producing the protein that helps cancer to proliferate. . .

and then give it what it needs to function, with a little modification. . .
